The historical film "Crown" again became the best drama series of the year (the creators of the picture won a similar prize in 2017).

Among the musical and comic serial projects, the jury singled out Shitts Creek, which won several Emmy awards in 2020.

Also, HFPA experts recognized Scott Frank's mini-series "Queen's Move" as an award.

The leading actress Anya Taylor-Joy received her statuette.

The prize went to Mark Ruffalo, who portrayed the two main characters (twin brothers) in the miniseries I Know It's True.

John Boyega (Voice of Change) and Gillian Anderson (Crown) were honored with the Golden Globe for supporting roles in television and Internet projects.

Josh O'Connor and Emma Corrin became the best actors in a drama series according to the experts - they played the roles of Prince Charles and Princess Diana in "The Crown".

Jason Sudeikis, who portrayed Ted Lasso in the project of the same name, and Catherine O'Hara, who starred in Sheets Creek, received similar awards for comedy series.

The Carol Burnett Honorary Award for Contribution to Television went to producer, screenwriter and director Norman Lear.

Actress Jane Fonda was awarded the Cecil B. DeMille Prize.

This year, Netflix was the leader in nominations, with 22 films and 20 TV series having a chance of winning the award.

Most nominations (six) were covered by David Fincher's "Munk".

The film was nominated for a statuette in the main category, as well as actors Gary Oldman and Amanda Seyfred, director David Fincher, screenwriter Jack Fincher and original soundtrack authors Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

However, "Monk" did not get a single Golden Globe.

The creators of the "Crown" series received awards in all four declared categories (while two actresses were nominated for the main and minor roles from the project).

The long list of projects in 2021 included three Russian films: "Text" by Klim Shipenko, "Sputnik" by Yegor Abramenko and "Dear Comrades!"

Andrey Konchalovsky.

However, none of them was included in the lists of nominees.
