At the end of 2020, the first series of textbooks for undergraduate folk art in national colleges and universities organized and compiled by the Chinese Folk Artists Association and Liaoning University of Science and Technology. After 8 years, the efforts of hundreds of folk art workers have finally been published.

The publication of the series of textbooks is of milestone significance. It means that the Chinese folk art passed down through thousands of years and taught by heart and mouth finally has systematic and standardized higher education textbooks with Chinese characteristics, filling the gaps in art education in colleges and universities, and marking the Chinese A breakthrough has been made in the construction of the discipline of Quyi.

The series of textbooks are composed of Zhong Chengxiang, a librarian of the Central Museum of Literature and History, convener of the Art Subject Review Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, and chairman of the China Literature and Art Critics Association. Jiang Kun, chairman of the Chinese Music Association and a crosstalk performer, serves as the director of the Academic Steering Committee. It is edited by Higher Education Press publishing.

The 12 textbooks include "Introduction to Chinese Folk Art", "A Brief History of Chinese Folk Art Development", "Chinese Folk Art Book Catalogue", "Chinese Folk Art Bibliography Content Overview", "Pingshu Performing Art", "Chinese Folk Art Proverbs and Professional Terminology", "Crosstalk Performance" "Art", "Allegro Performing Art", "Shandong Kuaishu Performing Art", "Foreign Scholars on Chinese Folk Art", "Chinese Minority Folk Art", "Suzhou Pingtan Performing Art", involving the historical system of Quyi, the performance system of genres, the discourse system of Quyi and Quyi data query system.

As a basic textbook for Quyi majors in colleges and universities, this series of textbooks is rich in content and effective in constructing the basic framework of Quyi. It also draws on the theoretical research results of other sister arts and disciplines. It has a strong sense of historical weight and contemporary flavor. , To achieve the organic unity of historical and contemporary, theoretical and practical, to fundamentally answer strategic issues such as the cultivation of high-quality compound talents in the sustainable development of Quyi, high-quality and high-level creation and production, and the establishment of a large-scale Quyi development pattern. It is of far-reaching significance.

Of course, the long history, rich variety and complicated system of Quyi determine that Quyi, as a science of studying the practice of Quyi, must also be a huge discipline system. It also shows the diversity of Quyi research methods and numerous research objects.

The current set of textbooks is just the beginning. In the next step, the China Music Association will continue to increase the research and development of textbooks, from the aspects of Quyi creation, Quyi performance, Quyi aesthetics, Quyi criticism, Quyi management, single-genre research, and research on famous artists. Expand the breadth and depth of the higher education of Quyi, and continue to contribute to the construction of the "mansion" of Quyi.

Dating back to May 21, 2013, Dong Yaopeng, then secretary of the party group of the Chinese Music Association and vice chairman of the committee, had a meeting with Sun Qiubai, president of Liaoning University of Science and Technology.

The failure of Quyi to catch the modern higher education express is a major bottleneck restricting the sustainable and healthy development of Quyi. As the leading department of industry construction, the China Music Association urgently needs to solve the problem in this regard.

The Liaoning University of Science and Technology, which has carried out the teaching practice of Quyi Performance for 10 years, also urgently needs a set of unified teaching materials suitable for higher education, so as to solve the problem of not being able to enroll students in Quyi.

The two parties hit it off and decided to jointly compile a set of professional teaching materials for Quyi that conform to higher education teaching standards.

In order to ensure the standard, accurate, authoritative and smooth progress of the textbook compilation, the two parties agreed to form a textbook steering committee and an editing committee, each of which invested 1 million yuan as a special fund for textbook compilation, and initially determined the compilation of five textbooks including "An Introduction to Chinese Folk Art".

In order to further implement the results of the talks between the two sides, from August 2 to 3, 2013, the China Music Association organized a work conference on the undergraduate professional textbooks of Quyi in Beijing.

At this meeting, experts such as Xue Baokun, a consultant of the Chinese Music Association at the time and a professor of Nankai University, were invited to study the compilation style of the undergraduate professional textbooks of Quyi in two days.

The compilation project of the first series of textbooks for undergraduate folk art in colleges and universities across the country was officially launched.

On July 7, 2014, the China Music Association and Liaoning University of Science and Technology formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement.

From December 18th to 19th, 2014, the two parties held a joint meeting on the compilation of professional textbooks for higher education in Anshan, Liaoning.

The meeting proposed to increase the compilation of two textbooks, "Overview of the Contents of Chinese Folk Art Bibliographies" and "Chinese Minority Folk Art", and agreed to hold the National Folk Art Education Summit of Higher Education Institutions and the establishment of the National University Student Folk Art Association Alliance, thus consolidating the promotion of higher education Folk Art subjects The broad power of construction.

Since then, the Chinese Quyi Association began to investigate the overall situation of colleges and universities and research institutions in the establishment of Quyi majors across the country, actively contacted experts from the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, and negotiated publication intentions with the Art Branch of the Higher Education Press.

From July 2nd to 3rd, 2015, the first National Quyi Education Summit in Colleges and Universities co-sponsored by the Chinese Music Association and Liaoning University of Science and Technology was held in Anshan, Liaoning.

Zhong Chengxiang, Fu Jin, Zhao Weimin and other members of the 7th Disciplinary Review Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, the person in charge of the compilation of the national higher education Quyi undergraduate textbook, the comrade in charge of the Higher Education Press, and the colleges and universities and research institutions responsible for the establishment of the Quyi specialty People gathered together to discuss issues such as the construction of Quyi disciplines, higher education teaching, and the compilation and publication of textbooks.

The meeting produced fruitful results and unanimously moved the establishment of the National University Quyi Education Alliance, the Chinese Quyi Art Research Fund and the Chinese Quyi Education and Disciplinary Construction Committee.

Since then, the National Folk Art Education Summit of Higher Education Institutions has been held every year to continuously mobilize the national folk art education force, accumulate experience and explore practice in the use of teaching materials, teaching applications and discipline construction.

three

After the compilation of 12 textbooks was launched in 2013, it has gone through hardships and finally achieved success.

The compilation of "A Brief History of Chinese Folk Art Development" and "An Introduction to Chinese Folk Art" (hereinafter referred to as "Brief History" and "Introduction") started the earliest.

In fact, after nearly 40 years of accumulation, the research of Quyi in history and principles has matured. Experts and scholars such as Hou Baolin, Wang Jingshou, Xue Baokun, Jiang Kun, Dai Hongsen, Ni Zhongzhi, Cai Yuanli, Wu Wenke have published relevant theoretical academic works.

"A Brief History" longitudinally sorts out the formation and development of Quyi according to the dimension of time, and clarifies the origin and flow of Quyi; "Introduction" horizontally summarizes the elements, types, characteristics, creation and performance links of Quyi in the dimension of category, etc. Clarified the connotation and extension of Quyi.

One history and one theory, one vertical and one horizontal, one main beam and one cornerstone, set up the main framework of the series of teaching materials system and laid a solid foundation for higher education in Quyi.

To build the discipline of Chinese Folk Art, we need to sort out how many academic theoretical achievements Chinese Folk Art has accumulated, and what is the family background of Folk Art.

Based on this, the Chinese Quyi Association has decided to publish the two books "Chinese Quyi Books and Reference List" (hereinafter referred to as "List") and "Overview of Chinese Quyi Bibliography Contents" (hereinafter referred to as "Overview") for the development of higher education and theoretical academic research in Quyi. The research provides comprehensive and systematic data storage and reference.

"List" and "Overview" present the achievements of the creation and research of Chinese Quyi for thousands of years as an outline, demonstrating the solid confidence and vigor of the construction of the Chinese Quyi discipline.

After the publication of "A Brief History", "Introduction", "List" and "Overview", "Pingshu Performing Arts" (hereinafter referred to as "Pingshu") was published in March 2019.

"Pingshu" was the first to appear in higher education textbooks as a genre of music, making the series of textbooks finally complete the framework of historical theory, reference books, and performing arts.

Crosstalk, Allegro, Shandong Kuaishu, and Suzhou Pingtan have a large number of practitioners and high popularity, and they have a very important position in the Quyi industry.

The advent of "Crosstalk Performing Art", "Allegro Performing Art", "Shandong Kuaishu Performing Art", and "Suzhou Pingtan Performing Art" have had a huge impact on the national folk art circle, especially among practitioners in folk art troupes and theaters. Employment and creative performance have very important reference value.

Chinese folk art has formed many art proverbs, art tactics, spring classic jargon, industry jargon, etc.

However, due to the spread among the people and the relatively weak theoretical and academic research strength, my country has not yet had a dedicated book.

The compilation of "Chinese Folk Art and Art Proverbs and Professional Terminology" (hereinafter referred to as "Art Proverbs and Art") can fill this gap.

"Yi Yan Yi Jue" compiles the unique discourse system of Chinese folk art that has been accumulated for thousands of years, is rich in Chinese style, and embodies Chinese aesthetic style. It means the first systematic study of the art of folk art and terminology since the founding of New China. The birth of advanced textbooks marks the systematic construction of the Chinese-featured folk art discourse system.

As an inseparable and important component of Chinese folk art, Chinese ethnic minority folk art has a broad content and profound heritage.

"Chinese Minority Folk Art" systematically sorts out the development history, inheritance form and development context of Chinese minority folk art, and comprehensively demonstrates the unique charm of minority folk art in literature, music, performance, props, aesthetics, etc. The building of the common spiritual home of the Chinese nation adds a strong touch.

"Foreign Scholars on Chinese Folk Art" is a product of the times.

As China increasingly moves toward the center of the world stage, Chinese folk art goes out more and more widely, and its status and influence in the international rap art family are becoming more and more important. It is necessary to systematically sort out and introduce foreign scholars' research on Chinese folk art.

The publication of the first series of textbooks created milestones in the development history of Chinese folk art.

The birth of each textbook is historical and groundbreaking, all condensing the hard work of the textbook editors, carrying the ardent expectations of the majority of folk art workers, and entrusting the long-cherished wishes of the older generation of folk art artists.

The Chinese Music Association sincerely hopes that with the joint efforts of the Quyi, cultural, and educational circles, the publication of the series of teaching materials can lay the foundation for the sustainable inheritance and sustainable development of Chinese Quyi, and head towards a more brilliant future in the new era!

With the foundation of this set of teaching materials, the development of Quyi disciplines and professions stands on a brand-new starting platform, and the traditional Chinese Quyi art is rejuvenated with new vitality in the current era.

I believe that the launch of this series of textbooks will surely lay a solid foundation for the development of the discipline and professionalism of Quyi with Chinese characteristics, and I believe it can also produce its due practical significance and long-term historical significance.

Liu Libin

At present, there is still a big gap in the scale, construction and development of the art education of Quyi compared with other art professional education, especially in the modern school education.

The traditional talent training model of masters leading apprentices needs to be reformed and improved in the practice and research of Quyi education and teaching.

To advance the modernization of folk art education, to inherit and develop the excellent traditional Chinese culture, higher education should make a difference.

Wang Yiwen

Associate Dean and Professor of the School of Art and Media, Beijing Normal University, member of the 7th Drama and Film and Television Discipline Review Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council

In addition to providing basic professional teaching in colleges and universities, the series of textbooks also have the grand goal of sorting out and summarizing the existing Quyi research results and consciously constructing the Quyi discipline system from the perspective of compilation style and framework.

Through the construction of a series of teaching materials, the folk art industry represented by the China Music Association is proposing a development strategy: through the cultivation of high-level talents, an independent folk art discipline will be constructed, and the humanistic and social value of folk art will be improved in an all-round way, so as to better pass on it. And develop the folk art industry.

Zhao Weimin

Former director of the Music Research Institute of China Conservatory of Music, a distinguished professor of Henan Normal University, a member of the 7th Music and Dance Discipline Evaluation Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council

If Chinese Quyi wants to become a first-level discipline alongside musicology and fine arts, the construction of connotation is the top priority; and in the construction of discipline connotation, the construction of the discipline framework system is the foundation of all subsequent constructions.

The value of the series of textbooks lies in the fact that it has initially established a logical structure for the discipline system of Quyi, and has taken a solid first step on the road of promoting Quyi to become a "practical" and "manifest". It is an important contribution to the construction of the discipline of Quyi. It has important foundational significance.
