Demi Lovato takes on Gender Reveal Parties
Demi Lovato spoke out against the “gender reveal parties”, these American festivals during which future parents reveal the sex of their unborn child.
According to the actress and singer, they would be transphobic.
She shared on Instagram an excerpt from Alok Vaid-Menon's book,
Beyond The Gender Binary
, in which the author explains that “it is disingenuous and incorrect to claim that gender reveal parties are not transphobic.
These ideas, like the gender binary, fuel the mistreatment of everyone, but especially of transgenders and people outside the gender binary ”.

The singer, who is awaiting trial on numerous charges of sexual assault and possession of child pornography, has indeed received his second dose of vaccine at MCC Chicago, where he is incarcerated.
According to information from TMZ, he received his first dose in January, and the second in February.
63 prisoners have already been vaccinated, as well as 168 prison staff.
