The corona vaccinations for daycare educators and teachers will start in North Rhine-Westphalia on March 8th.
Family Minister Joachim Stamp (FDP) called this date on Monday in Düsseldorf for the staff in daycare centers and schools and spoke of a “liberation” for the employees and families.
According to dpa information, it concerns 186,000 daycare educators nationwide as well as 89,000 teachers at elementary, special and special schools.
The federal and state health ministers agreed a week ago to upgrade teachers at elementary and special schools and kindergarten teachers from the third to the second group in the vaccination sequence.
Group two also includes many chronically ill people and people over 70 as well as police officers.
Health Minister Karl-Josef Laumann (CDU) had announced that the start of vaccinations for teachers and daycare staff should begin in the first half of March.
