On Saturday, fishermen found a dead fin whale on the sand in Bourgneuf Bay in Vendée.
The cetacean was discovered at low tide north of Gois opposite the Sébastopol polder regional nature reserve.

Sunday morning, he was 2,000 nautical miles from Noirmoutier.
The animal, "very thin" and "17 or 18 m" long depending on the photographs, could be recovered later.
This whale, which is the second largest living animal on the planet, is the sixth found on beaches in the English Channel and the Atlantic since September.
