The Minister of Publicity and Culture of the Liaison Office of Macau Wan Sucheng, Director of the Health Bureau of Macau Special Administrative Region Li Zhanrun, and Deputy General Manager Zhang Peiran of Nam Kwong (Group) Co., Ltd. presided over the vaccine reception ceremony.

  The inspectors and customs officers of the Department of Drug Affairs of the Health Bureau inspected the truck together. After completing the customs clearance and signing procedures, the vaccine was sent to a freezer that met the requirements for storage.

  Li Zhanrun said in an interview with reporters that, so far, Macau has received about 600,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines, including 500,000 doses of Sinopharm inactivated vaccines, and about 100,000 doses of mRNA vaccines produced by German BioNtech. Depending on the situation, purchase more vaccines to ensure that every resident can be vaccinated.

He called on residents to respond to the government's call to get vaccinated as soon as possible to develop resistance as soon as possible to build an effective barrier against the epidemic.

  The Macau SAR government officially launched the new crown vaccination plan on February 9, and has extended it to free vaccination for all Australian residents from February 22.

As of February 26, Macau has nearly 30,000 appointments for vaccinations against the new crown, of which about 12,000 have been vaccinated with Sinopharm’s inactivated vaccine, and there have been no serious adverse reactions.
