A forest fire in Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture, takes 8 days from the outbreak in 1 day.

The wildfire that broke out in Nishinomiya-cho, Ashikaga City on the 21st of last month has burned about 106 hectares so far, but the spread of fire has subsided.



No one was injured by the fire, but the wooden shrine building in the mountains was completely destroyed.



The city has indicated that if the fire extinguishing activities proceed smoothly, it will be possible to suppress it in one day, and the evacuation advisory issued to a total of 305 households around the site will be released as soon as it can be suppressed.



According to the Utsunomiya Local Meteorological Observatory, the air in Tochigi Prefecture is dry, but the wind is not strong for one day, and it is expected to rain on the second day.
