The head of the Emirates Writers and Writers Union, Sultan Al-Amimi, expressed his sadness in a tweet that he published on his Twitter account, late in the evening, the day before yesterday, in which he said: “I heard a little while ago about the death of Dr. Hassan Qaid Al-Subaihi. I knew the deceased closely. Years ago, he was a virtuous man in the full sense of the word, with a high degree of knowledge and humility, sincere condolences to his generous family. The Emirates Journalists Association mourned Hassan Qaid Al-Subaihi, noting that the late was one of the most prominent opinion writers, and the owner of a scientific and professional journalistic career, spanning more than 45 years, in which he worked hard, diligence, sincerity and great giving in the country, which made him enjoy the respect and love of everyone.

The association added, in a statement, yesterday, that the deceased obtained a BA in Journalism from the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, a Master in Media from the University of California, and a PhD in Media from the University of Leiter in Britain, and worked as a Professor of Media at the Emirates University and then the University of Sharjah, and contributed to the graduation Generations of journalists and media professionals working in various institutions in the UAE and abroad.

The association pointed out that the late was a member of the Emirates Journalists Association and a member of its Honor Council, and the association honored him in many celebrations for his efforts in serving the press, and the Culture and Science Symposium honored him for his scientific excellence, and for his PhD in Media and Communication.

The late man has many books in the press, the media, and others, including “The Emergence of the Emirates, Traditions and Customs,” “The Political History of Kuwait for Three Centuries,” and “Suhail Burns ... Yemen and Thwarting the Attempt to Sell a Homeland.”
