The latest indicators show a worrying increase in the circulation of the coronavirus in Maine-et-Loire, in particular in the Chemillé-en-Anjou sector, between Cholet and Angers.

This is why a large massive screening operation is being organized this Sunday in this town, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. *.

The samples are free, without an appointment.

All voluntary residents, including the youngest and the asymptomatic, are invited to go for testing.

The same goes for neighboring municipalities, in particular Lys-Haut-Layon and Val-du-Layon.

Very high incidence rates

"The challenge is to identify and isolate positive cases as early as possible in order to avoid a new epidemic wave, by reducing viral circulation and thus epidemic pressure", justifies the regional health agency (ARS).

It must be said that the incidence rate in Chemillé amounts to 736 cases per 100,000, which is very clearly above the departmental (181) and national (214) average.

They are lower but still higher than the national average in neighboring municipalities.
