Ashley Judd is recovering slowly after a long operation due to a very bad fall in the rainforest in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The star had been transported to an American hospital in South Africa and it took surgeons no less than eight hours to operate on one of her legs, which was broken in four places.

“In an American hospital, I had to continue to wait for the swelling and muscle injuries to heal.

I was finally able to receive permission to be operated on to repair the bones, decompress the bleeding nerves and remove the bone fragments from the nerve.

I'm recovering now, ”she explained in an Instagram post with images documenting her long ordeal.

Ashley Judd considers herself lucky

Now recovering, the actress is infinitely grateful to the medical staff who took care of her, but also to her father who, having been vaccinated against Covid-19, came as soon as possible to find her in Johannesburg.
