After the Fubitai vaccine arrived in Hong Kong, the staff immediately checked and checked the vaccine to ensure that the vaccine complied with product specifications and relevant cold chain transportation standards.

As vaccines need to be stored in cold cabinets at minus 70 degrees Celsius, the SAR government has made appropriate arrangements for this, including storing vaccines in designated storage warehouses in Hong Kong, and all vaccines will also be placed in certified refrigerators to ensure that they are in the pharmaceutical factory Store at the specified temperature.

A spokesman for the Special Administrative Region Government said that in response to the arrival of Fubitai vaccine in Hong Kong, an online appointment system will be opened next week to allow citizens to make appointments for Fubitai vaccine.

The specific arrangements will be announced in due course.

The spokesperson continued that due to the high requirements for cold chain management of Fubitai vaccine, correct thawing procedures are also required. In order to ensure that the quality of the vaccine and the vaccination procedures meet the requirements, the vaccination will be carried out in the community vaccination center.

The SAR government will first open seven community vaccination centers operated by the Hospital Authority, and then gradually open the remaining vaccination centers.

The vaccines currently pre-purchased by the SAR government are the inactivated vaccines of Kexing Holdings (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd., the nucleic acid vaccines of Fosun Pharma/BioNTech, and the viral vector vaccines of AstraZeneca/Oxford University.

The SAR government pointed out that the purpose of purchasing vaccines from different technology platforms is to spread risks and ensure that there are enough safe and effective vaccines available to the citizens of Hong Kong.

Fubitel vaccine has been approved by the Hong Kong New Crown Vaccine Advisory Committee to consider its clinical research data, overseas approval status, and other information related to the safety, efficacy and quality of the vaccine, and has been approved by the SAR government for emergency use.
