Both during Friday's and Saturday's genre rehearsal of the Melodifestivalen, it became black on the television screen for four minutes.

There would be the pre-recorded midnight.

It was recorded on Friday morning and was expected to be ready for Saturday's genre rehearsal.

But it was not.

And when SVT Nyheter meets Melodifestivalen's project manager Anette Brattström at 6 pm on Saturday night, it's still not clear.

-

I'm nervous!

We have never before gone live without having seen the entire program ourselves and had to rehearse it in its entirety, she says.

"Will be passenger flying"

At the same time as the midnight is completed, the creators Michael Mårtensson and Anna Granath are full of rehearsals and script reviews with the hosts.

And clearly it will not be until they too have looked at it and approved the final decision.

- They are doing that right now, so I hope that they are satisfied and that we can be sure that it is ready for transmission soon, says Anette Brattström.

But when we talk now, there are only two hours left, do you have time?

- In TV time, it can be a long time.

But it feels a bit annoying actually, especially if you want to have seen the whole of the program before.

But it's worth the wait I think.

What are we going to see that is so difficult to do?

- What viewers can expect is a mixture of a little seriousness but also a good dose of humor.

There will be special effects, there will be fire, there will be personal flying and there will be singing and dancing.

Did you not expect it to take this long?

- Yes, but the hope was that we could spend time putting it together a little earlier in the process so that we would actually have time to scratch with it during the genre rehearsal today.

This is the case in live broadcasts, it does not always go as planned.
