“On the morning of February 27, the Crisis Management Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information that an ash release to a height of 1.5 km occurred on the Ebeko volcano,” the Ministry of Emergencies said.

It is noted that the plume spread eastward from the volcano to a distance of up to 3 km.

According to the department, there is no threat to the population.

Earlier, Ebeko threw ash to a height of 2 km.
