Ebeko volcano in the Kuril Islands threw out a column of ash

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Sakhalin Region.

“On the morning of February 27, the Crisis Management Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information that an ash release to a height of 1.5 km occurred on the Ebeko volcano,” the Ministry of Emergencies said.

It is noted that the plume spread eastward from the volcano to a distance of up to 3 km.

According to the department, there is no threat to the population.

Earlier, Ebeko threw ash to a height of 2 km.
