According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Saturday, seven districts currently exceed the threshold of 200 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days.

Corona death rate in nursing homes is falling
The corona vaccinations are now apparently leading to a falling number of Covid 19 deaths in German nursing homes.
A survey by the “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung” (Saturday edition) among large nursing home operators showed that the number of infected, sick and deceased people has decreased significantly since the start of the immunization campaign, the newspaper reported.

For example, the 28 Johanniter retirement homes in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate have had practically no corona deaths among their 2,400 residents since the start of the vaccinations.

The Caritas Association, which maintains 128,000 beds in 1,800 inpatient facilities, told the newspaper that after the second vaccinations had been administered, the number of infections in the houses had decreased by 35 to 65 percent.
