It is reported that the vegetable planting area in Tibet has reached 387,500 mu, with an annual output of 771,900 tons. The self-sufficiency rate of vegetables in major cities and towns in summer and autumn is over 80%, and that of winter and spring is about 60%.
According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the Tibet Autonomous Region, in recent years, with the gradual expansion of vegetable greenhouses and transfers and transportation from outside the district, Tibetan people's tables have become more abundant.
