The devil speaks all languages © Albin Michel

"Press, finance and oil magnate, friend and accomplice of all heads of state, but also patron of all causes, his influence on the world has been as harmful as it is invisible.

From the mud in the trenches to luxury hotels in Monaco, from the repression of strikes to the assassination of Jaurès, from Cuba to Namibia via the Balkans, he has taken advantage of all armed and social conflicts.

Until his last breath, he maneuvered unethically and without remorse to fuel the war.

Basil Zaharoff, eminence grise of the great powers, legendary arms dealer of the twentieth century, is this devil who speaks all languages. "
