Talking about creative inspiration, she said that before this, Dunhuang dance exercises in a school in Dunhuang had become a hot spot in the market, giving her the idea of "flying under the sea".

In a school in Dunhuang, the inter-class exercise is Dunhuang dance. After seeing it at the time, we all felt that we were more interested. Then we thought about saying that since the children can make the inter-class exercises into this form of Dunhuang dance, so Thinking, can we move this Dunhuang dance to our underwater for a different show.
[Explanation] Yang Miao said that when designing the costumes and movements of "Flying under the Sea", they referred to the classic image of "Flying" in Dunhuang murals. The costumes used green clothes and red trousers, and the movements were graceful and soft.

We also looked through some materials and checked the distinctive features of Dunhuang dance, and tried to restore it underwater, but because underwater is different from land, there is no way to make it exactly the same as land.

If you do (underwater) Dunhuang dance, it is actually quite different from the mermaid's performance. When the mermaid performs, his legs are in a skirt, and the Dunhuang dance mainly relies on webbed legs.
The costumes are also different. (Dunhuang dance costumes) are gauze. They don't have a little weight on the shore, but they are actually quite heavy underwater (after absorbing water).
