On the 26th, a civil society group said, "There is a suspicion that entertainment is bribery," due to the problem that executives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Makiko Yamada, and Cabinet Public Relations Secretary were receiving entertainment from the eldest son of Prime Minister Suga, who works for a satellite broadcasting-related company. As a result, I submitted a letter of accusation to the executives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Mr. Yamada, and the eldest son of Prime Minister Suga to the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office.

Eleven people, including Cabinet Public Relations Secretary Taniwaki, warned that executives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications received entertainment from the eldest son of Prime Minister Suga, who works for the satellite broadcasting related company "Tohoku Shinsha," in violation of the ethical code of national government employees. Makiko Yamada, a Cabinet Public Relations Secretary who had received entertainment of over 70,000 yen at the time of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications, has announced that she will voluntarily return part of her salary.

On the 26th, 13 people including executives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and Mr. Yamada who received entertainment as "entertainment is suspected to be bribery" and 4 people on the Tohoku new company side including the eldest son of Prime Minister Suga I submitted a complaint to the Tokyo Public Prosecutors Office.

Citizens' groups claim in the accusation that "the executives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications have the authority to do so, and the fact that the entertainer had the son of the incumbent Prime Minister cannot be overlooked."

Kaoru Iwata, co-representative of the civic group that I met, said, "While many people are having a hard time with the new coronavirus, is it permissible to receive expensive food and drink entertainment? I want the prosecution to properly investigate and make a decision." Said.
