Jeangu Macrooy will be showing the Dutch entry for the Eurovision Song Contest of 2021 for the first time on 4 March.
AVROTROS announces that the song will premiere live at 7pm on that day.
The premiere can be followed on March 4 via YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.
The name of Macrooy's number has not yet been announced.
The singer was supposed to represent the Netherlands with the song
, but the Eurovision Song Contest was canceled due to the corona virus.
The participating countries may send the same artist again this year, but a different song must be submitted.
Because the Netherlands took the win at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2019 with Arcade by Duncan Laurence, the event will take place in Rotterdam Ahoy this year.
The organizing country always automatically qualifies for the final, so Macrooy does not have to perform in the semi-final.
It was recently announced that the organization of the Song Contest still hopes to be able to receive all participants in Rotterdam.
However, each country must record a live performance in advance that will be broadcast if the artist cannot perform on stage in Ahoy due to the corona virus.
Purchased tickets for the Eurovision Song Contest were recently canceled and the money refunded, because it seems unlikely that full houses during the shows will be possible in May.
The Eurovision Song Contest will take place in 2021 on 18, 20 and 22 May.
