After the arrest of a suspect in the case of the explosive mail to southern German food companies, the investigators hope to gain further clues by publishing a video.

It is supposed to show the alleged perpetrator handing over the explosives packages in a post office in Ulm.

You can see a man masked with a white scarf and a dark hat, who hands in and pays for packages at the counter.

He wears black gloves.

He stowed the packages in two white canvas bags before putting them on the sales counter.

The security authorities assume that the man is the arrested pensioner, who has not yet commented on the allegations.

According to the public prosecutor's office, it was investigations into the type of explosive packages that led to the man's trail.

The series began on Tuesday of last week in the goods receiving department of a beverage manufacturer in Eppelheim (Rhein-Neckar district).

A man there was injured by a deflagration while accepting a package.

On Wednesday, opening a letter at Lidl headquarters in Neckarsulm (Heilbronn district) caused an explosion with three injured.

A third suspicious package, which was addressed to the baby food manufacturer Hipp, was intercepted and defused in a package distribution center at Munich Airport on Thursday night.
