On February 18, 2021, NASA's Perseverance robot reached the planet Mars after several months of high-risk travel.

After having landed safely, the robot sent its first color photos of the red planet at the start of the week, and even the first sounds of Mars.

At the same time, three other Chinese and Emirati missions are on their way to the Red Planet.

Beyond the dream, what are the scientific, but also geopolitical issues of this space conquest?
