On February 26, 1941, Soviet and Russian actor, People's Artist of the RSFSR Yevgeny Zharikov was born in Moscow. In 1959, he entered VGIK, and already in his second year made his film debut, playing a small role in the film by Yuli Raizman "And if this is love?" Much more noticeable was the next work of Zharikov - one of the central roles in Andrei Tarkovsky's film Ivan's Childhood. All in all, the artist took part in the creation of more than 60 projects: "It can't be!", "Three plus two", "I remain", "Born by the revolution", "Snow Maiden" and many others. In the late 1980s, Yevgeny Zharikov became one of the founders of the Guild of Soviet Cinema Actors.
