The Daft Punk, legends of electronic music, pioneers of the French Touch, announced their separation on Monday.

Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo signed their farewells with an "Epilogue" video, which exceeds 10 million views in less than 24 hours.

The opportunity for fans to dive back into the duo's favorite titles.

On Spotify, the Swedish streaming giant, the numbers of listeners have increased since this announcement, indicates Antoine Monin, Director of Music and spokesperson for Spotify France, at the microphone of Europe 1.

"As often in this kind of event, we see that listening increases strongly, we see that people are looking again at the catalog and the hits of Daft Punk", specifies the spokesperson for the listening platform, who announces its development in 85 new countries.

The Daft Punk effect, between nostalgia, discovery and denial for some inconsolable fans should last a few more days, he says. 

12 million monthly listeners

"It is already a phenomenal success in the world," recalls Antoine Monin, citing figures.

"They already have several billion streams on Spotify, on their entire catalog, they have more than 12 million monthly listeners and they are the emblem of this French music which has been exported."
