Wang Yi said, how to bring China-US relations back on track?
First, we must respect each other and not interfere in each other's internal affairs.
This is the basic criterion of international exchanges.
For big countries like China and the United States, mutual respect should be more important, and we cannot always think about changing, suppressing, or even defeating each other.
Such an attempt has never been successful, and it will not be possible in the future. It will only create contradictions and even conflicts meaninglessly.
Wang Yi emphasized that China always respects the independent choice of the American people and is happy to see that the United States maintains a good momentum of development and never interferes in the internal affairs of the United States.
We have no intention to challenge or replace the United States. We are willing to coexist peacefully and develop together with the United States.
Similarly, we hope that the United States will respect China’s core interests, national dignity, and development rights, stop discrediting the Communist Party of China and China’s political system, stop condoning or even supporting the wrong words and deeds of the separatist forces of “Taiwan independence”, and stop working in Hong Kong, Xinjiang, and Xinjiang. Tibet and other China’s internal affairs undermine China’s sovereignty and security.
Only with true mutual respect can the improvement and development of Sino-US relations be stable and long-term.
