Hong Kong media pointed out that Li Zhiying's Hong Kong and Taiwan business has been losing money in recent years, but he has bought luxury properties in Taiwan, France, Japan, the United States and Canada.

Li Zhiying was detained in Stanley Prison on charges of violating the Hong Kong National Security Law, fraud and illegal assembly, but he often traveled between Hong Kong and Taiwan before being detained.

Hong Kong media investigations found that Li Zhiying's hidden mansion in Yangmingshan, Taipei, adjacent to the official residence of the American Association in Taiwan, is not only Li's important residence in Taipei, but also an important base for his contacts with Taiwanese politicians.

People who came and went here included Tsai Ing-wen, Su Zhenchang, and Zhao Shaokang who announced his return to the KMT's election as chairman.

Li Zhiying’s mansion is adjacent to the American Military Club and Taipei Cultural University, and is just across the road from the American resort in Yangmingshan.

The mansion is about 400 meters away from the official residence map of the American Institute in Taiwan. It takes only 9 minutes to walk 650 meters.

The location of the villa is quiet and quiet, and it is one of the best locations in the local area.

The area was guarded by soldiers in the past and has always been a forbidden area for residents on the island.

The mansion garden and bungalows cover an area of more than 10,000 square meters, and are oblong in the air. The garden is equipped with a swimming pool and a number of large fountains. The garden is towering with trees and green grass. Enclosed by a fence and barbed wire.

The villa is heavily guarded, with security guards stationed throughout the day, monitoring CCTVs all over, leaving no blind spots, as far as the street can be seen, at different positions of the gate and fence, there are as many as 13 surveillance cameras.

It is reported that when Li Zhiying founded "One Media" in Taiwan in 2003, he bought a luxurious villa with a nice view, swimming pool, tennis court and garden in Lane 99, Jingshan Road, Yangmingshan, Taipei, and lived there for many years.

However, the villa is located in the remote depths of Yangming Mountain, and it is easy to be ambushed nearby.

Some Taiwan media have exposed that Lei was kidnapped in Taiwan for unknown reasons.

Knowing that there are many problems, Li Zhiying may have been looking for land to build a new mansion based on various considerations.

By 2015, Li Zhiying purchased Yangmingshan, a prime location adjacent to the US military club and cultural university, which may not be available to the rich, and made great efforts to transform it into a luxurious Secret Dou.

The new mansion was completed in early May 2016, working day and night, and finally completed the renovation at the end of April of the same year, and was officially completed in early May.

Coincidentally, soon after the new mansion was completed, the first visitor was not the relatives and friends of the Li family, but Tsai Ing-wen, the leader of the Taiwan authorities who took office on May 20 of that year.

It is understood that Tsai Ing-wen was invited to this new mansion secret meeting Li Zhiying, accompanied by his entourage and key officials, in early May 2016.

In the meantime, Cai and Li Geng spent a period of time alone without others.

Hong Kong media pointed out that Tsai Ing-wen, who has always acted high-profile, has never mentioned the secret meeting before taking office.

Since then, this mansion has almost become a club for Li Zhiying to secretly meet with sensitive people in Taiwan.

Before and after the illegal "Occupy Central" in 2014, Li Zhiying went to Taiwan from time to time, and from time to time flew to Japan and the United States via Taiwan.

Since moving into a new mansion in May 2016 and receiving "blessings" from Tsai Ing-wen and others, Li Zhiying travels to Hong Kong and Taiwan more frequently, sometimes as many as two or three times a month, each staying for several days.

In early December 2020, Li Zhiying, who was involved in multiple cases, was remanded in Lai Chi Kok Reception Center on suspicion of fraud and violating the Hong Kong National Security Law.

On the 16th of the same month, Taiwan’s Tsai Ing-wen immediately publicly "supported" Li Zhiying on his Facebook page.

In addition to Tsai Ing-wen, the person who frequently visits Li Zhiying’s mansion is Su Zhenchang, the head of Taiwan’s administrative agency. On the day after Tsai Ing-wen publicly "supported" Li on December 17, 2020, he also admitted that he often should Li Zhiying invited to eat at his mansion.

Other people who are frequently invited to visit Li Zhiying’s mansion are Zhao Shaokang, who announced his return to the Kuomintang and running for the party’s chairman, and Zhu Lilun, the mayor of New Taipei City, who was the former chairman of the Kuomintang.

After Tsai Ing-wen and Su Zhenchang made high-profile support for Li Zhiying, Zhu Lilun also publicly "cheered up" Li Zhiying in custody on December 18.

On February 5 this year, Zhao Shaokang, chairman of Taiwan's China Broadcasting Corporation, publicly supported Li Zhiying in the Taiwan media. Zhao also said that he had called his wife Li Zhiying to understand Li's current situation.

Some Hong Kong citizens pointed out, "The mouth is soft and the hands are soft. The more desperately he calls for Li Zhiying, who is the guest of Li Zhiying."
