  • Fatiha and Adel, owners of the restaurant La Perle noire, in Montpellier, took part in the program “Cauchemar en cuisine”, which was broadcast on September 4 on M6.

  • Since then, the Parc 2000 restaurant in La Mosson has gradually rediscovered its colors.

  • “This experience was really good for us,” says Adel.

At La Perle noire, a portrait of Fatiha and Adel, the owners of the restaurant, surrounding Philippe Etchebest, sits in the room.

It must be said that the chef's visit to this establishment in Parc 2000, in Montpellier, undoubtedly saved them from closure.

During the program "Cauchemar en cuisine" on September 4 on M6, viewers had discovered a team totally outdated.

"You are presenting false information to your customers!"

“For both of them, the shoot was very trying, but the conductor was extraordinary, very caring.

I think the couple touched the viewers a lot, ”says Agathe Melmoux, director of the communication agency Com'Un Pro and close to Fatiha and Adel.

It was she who called on Philippe Etchebest.

“The chief understood the situation, which was very complicated, and was not too hard on them,” she continues.

Little by little, Adel is applying the advice he gave her, he can't do it all at once.

"

"This experience was only good for us"

Since the broadcast of the show, restaurant reservations have exploded, and La Perle Noire is gradually regaining color.

"Customers do not expect perfection, they come first out of solidarity, we feel that they want the restaurant to get out of it," resumes the young woman, who accompanied the couple during the shooting.

“This experience was great for us,” says Adel.

I learned a lot with the chef, you always have to learn.

After the broadcast, we received a lot of calls at the restaurant, from people we didn't even know, from all over France, to wish us courage.

It is very moving.

"

Today open for lunch from Monday to Friday, the Montpellier establishment should soon open three evenings a week, with a smaller menu, two starters, two main courses and two desserts.

"The sea bream-ratatouille that the chef taught me to make, I make it with my eyes closed!"

Adel smiles.

The team is now looking for a waitress and a self-employed chef to support the development of the restaurant, and an online prize pool has been opened (here) to help the couple overcome their ordeal.
