Too little vaccine: CSU regional group leader Alexander Dobrindt calls for national solo efforts in the event of EU failures.

"If vaccines are ordered too late, aids are not paid out and national measures are blocked, the EU itself undermines confidence in the ability of its institutions to act," he told the "Bild" newspaper.

"Therefore, if Brussels acts as a slow tanker, the federal government has to act." Taking on European responsibility and acting nationally is not a contradiction in terms.

A hairdresser in Bayreuth has meanwhile auctioned the first appointment after the lockdown for 422 euros for a good cause.

A 43-year-old craftsman and member of an aid organization that campaigns for children and to whom the money should also go, bought the date on March 1st on the eBay platform, said hairdresser Andreas Nuissl on Sunday.

In addition to the 422 euros, customers and friends have so far collected 1,310 euros as donations.

"I think that in the next three weeks, especially when we reopen on March 1st, there will be additional donations," said Nuissl.

The money is to be given to the Bayreuth Tafel and the Round Table 98 Bayreuth children's project.
