Beaten by Stade Malien in the first leg of this round of framing, JS Kabylie won on the return this Sunday, February 21 and validated their qualification for the group stage.

Raja Casablanca got scared but went on penalties against US Monastir.

Primeiro de Agosto, for his part, plague because of the very complicated context of his double confrontation with Namungo FC.

Before the draw for the four groups of the Confederation Cup 2020-2021 edition, scheduled for Cairo on Monday, February 22, the framing round of the competition delivered almost all of its verdicts.

Most of the return matches were held this Sunday, February 21.

And if some did not tremble, others had surprises.

The Sfaxien Sports Club, for example, was in contention on Saturday, and it was not endangered in Rwanda.

Winners of AS Kigali 4-1 in the first leg, the Tunisians held the 1-1 in the return.

They will be among the 16 teams that will play the group stage.

JSK overthrows Stade Malien, impeccable Pyramids finalist

Stade Malien, on the other hand, will not.

JS Kabylie, beaten 2-1 in the first leg, won 1-0 in the return thanks to an entry goal.

The rule of the goal on the outside favors the Algerians.

Raja Casablanca, it was hot on the ground of US Monastir.

The Tunisians won 1-0, like the Moroccans in the first leg.

Thus, it was necessary to go through the penalties to decide between the two teams, and it is the Raja who was the most skilful (6 shots on goal to 5, a single failure against two).

The penalties were also necessary to decide the matches DC Motema Pembe-Al Ahly Bengazhi (1-1) and Rivers United-Eniymba (1-0).

In the first, the Libyan club won (8 shots on goal to 7).

In the second match, 100% Nigerian, it was Enyimba who stood out (5 shots on goal to 4).

NAPSA Stars (2-2 against Gor Mahia), ASC Jaraaf (1-0 against Platinium) and Orlando Pirates (1-0 against Jwaneng Galaxy) were not worried.

No problems either for the finalist of the last Confederation Cup, Pyramids FC: already a 2-0 winner in the first leg in Côte d'Ivoire, the Egyptian club put it back at home against RC Abidjan (2- 0).

Jostled Nkana, Flaming Salitas, Enraged Primeiro de Agosto

Coton Sport (1-0 against AS SONIDEP) and ES Sétif (0-0 against Asante Kotoko) had a quiet Sunday.

The Gabonese of Bouenguidi Sports, on the other hand, have lost their illusions.

They won 1-0 in the first leg against Salitas.

But on their return, the Burkinabè reversed the trend (3-1).

Nkana's Zambians saw the benefit of their 2-0 first-half victory over TAS Casablanca erased in the space of half an hour in the first half, but a goal scored after the break kept them from losing than 2-1 and keep their qualification.

Finally, there is the Primeiro de Agosto-Namungo FC case.

The first leg, scheduled for Angola on February 14, did not take place: the local authorities, fearing the Covid-19 pandemic, preferred to cancel the meeting.

They even wanted to impose a quarantine on the Tanzanian team.

In the middle of the week, CAF ruled: the two return matches will take place in Tanzania, with a 72-hour gap between the two, and before February 26.

This Sunday, therefore, was to be held the first leg, with Primeiro de Agosto in the role of the "home" team ... but in Tanzania.

Hours before kick-off, Tanzanian health authorities said there were six positive Covid-19 cases at the Angolan club, including five players.

Troubled and deprived of their usual goalkeeper, two defenders, an attacking midfielder and a striker, Primeiro de Agosto suffered a heavy setback (6-2).

What irritates the last champion of Angola, who will try the impossible Thursday, February 25 for the return match ...
