Tousin "Tusse" Chiza continues on Saturday night.

"I love Loreen"

Both among artists and journalists, the contribution has even been compared to perhaps the holiest in the Swedish Melodifestival heaven - Loreen's "Euphoria".

- It feels unreal because I love Loreen.

She's kind of the reason I'm here.

It was a funny comparison that I do not think is true, says Tusse.

Where were you in life when Loreen was on stage in 2012?

- I lived in Nora with some relatives.

I remember when she came out and was going to do her thing and I was so amazed that art could be so nice.

I had not seen people do what she did.

He continues:

- It inspired me a lot to find my way of expressing myself.

I think that performance grabbed all of us who watched.

And me a little extra.

Did you ever think that I can stand on that stage too?

- Not a second.

It was something you respect, not something you long for.

It was bigger than a dream.

Escaped from the war

At the same time, it has been a long journey for Tusse.

He came to Sweden as an eight-year-old after three years on the run from the war in Congo-Kinshasa.

His parents remained.

And he has had to struggle to find a place in his new homeland.

- It has been my childhood so it has been normal for me.

To walk around and not know where you belong, what family you live in and not know where your safe point is.

It has been the most difficult part of my childhood and my journey to find a safe place, he says.

Became emotional on the genre rope

In the artist presentation just before his contribution, he tells himself about his upbringing.

And when he heard himself talk about it on Friday's genre rehearsal, he was noticeably moved just before he was to start singing.

- I had been clear that I do not want to see and hear it just before I go up on stage because then I want to be gathered and focused.

But then it leaked through a bit.

And then those feelings come back.

How much of everything you have been through is noticeable in the song when you are on stage tonight?

- There is a part in the song where I sit down and really feel the atmosphere.

That's where all the emotions come from.

What are you thinking about then?

- To be completely honest, I think that that little guy who had a dream finally makes himself heard.

I sing "can you hear them" and it's like you can hear this little guy, the little guy who's screaming to find his safe spot and has done so.
