The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has revealed that two medical workers vaccinated against the new coronavirus have been found to have symptoms of suspected side reactions such as hives.

Regarding the vaccine of Pfizer, a major American pharmaceutical company, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has requested that medical workers be reported if there are serious symptoms that are suspected to have side reactions that cannot be denied to be related to vaccination since the start of prior vaccination to healthcare workers on the 17th of this month. We are looking for institutions.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, symptoms such as hives and chills were confirmed in each of the two vaccinated people by 5 pm on the 20th.

Of these, the symptom of those who complained of chills was initially reported as "anaphylaxis", a severe allergic reaction, but it was later corrected by a medical institution.

It is not possible to clarify the age, gender, and degree of symptoms of the person who has the symptoms at this time.

This is the first time that a symptom of suspected side reaction has been reported, and it will be verified at an expert meeting whether it is related to vaccination in the future.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, by 5 pm on the 19th, the total number of medical workers who received pre-vaccination was 5039 nationwide.
