We said to ourselves that something was wrong.

Friday, Canal + unveiled the first trailer for the 46th edition of the César.

In a (very) long walk on a very small stage, Marina Foïs delivers a speech on the obscurity in which French cinema has been plunged for a year.

Throughout this teaser, the mistress of ceremonies stands still with a very solemn tone.

“There was the

things we say, the things we do

, and all

the things we

can no longer do.

Time for a clearing up

in the Cévennes

, we were delighted to say

goodbye to idiots

and for all that, we are all anxious to

erase the history

of 2020 and find our

DNA

”, she enumerates by making a nod to the few feature films that marked the year.

A sketch that makes noise

One could have imagined that the actress wanted to adopt a posture of spokesperson for the actors of a suffering cinema but the naturalness finally quickly returned to the gallop.

“The 46th César ceremony will be an opportunity to celebrate a hard-hit cinema that is still standing, alive and impatient.

So yes, we will perhaps be a little less light, we will perhaps laugh a little less than usual, but we will be there together, ”she says before… letting out a loud fart.

Catastrophic, Marina Foïs exclaims "I farted walking like a horse" before collapsing in shame on stage.

In a wide shot, we then discover the treadmill on which she was walking since the start of this trailer.

Here is a teaser which gives an overview of this 46th ceremony, marked by the thirteen nominations of the film

The Things We Say, the Things We Do

by Emmanuel Mouret.
