[New Year Chronicle] Macau youths stay in Guangzhou for the New Year, a "passport" to find Cantonese culture

[Explanation] Under the "In-situ Chinese New Year" initiative, this year's Guangzhou Spring Festival is more lively than previous years. Macau youth Liu Yanxin is one of the first batch of Hong Kong and Macao public officials in the Mainland. This year, his family of three celebrated the Spring Festival in Mainland China for the first time.

In the past few days, Liu Yanxin took a "Guangdong Cultural Tourism Passport" and took his family to the streets and alleys. Among the 10 check-in spots, Chen Clan Temple was Liu Yanxin's favorite attraction.

When I started, there was a plaque saying "Chen's Academy", which showed me that Guangzhou's clan culture was very strong, and I was very impressed.

[Explanation] Ancestral halls have a high status in the hearts of overseas Chinese at home and abroad. They are also ancient buildings that witness history.

The Chen Clan Academy is known as the "Pearl of Lingnan Architectural Art" and was completed in 1893.

[Explanation] Under the eaves of the Juxian Hall in the shrine, Liu Yanxin pointed to the roof tile ridge and told reporters that he had seen similar things in Macau.

The Shiwan pottery sculptures on the tile ridges can still be found on the eaves of temples in Hong Kong and Macau. The most special is the fish pottery sculptures located at the two ends of the tile ridges, which have a unique meaning.

[Explanation] Chen Clan Ancestral House was turned into the Guangdong Folk Craft Museum in 1959, and many exhibitions are held throughout the year.

The reporter saw in the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall that the theme exhibition "Longing for Good" was being held, and a number of art exhibits related to the well-off life in the traditional crafts of the collection were on display.

In the folk craft exhibition hall, craftsmen such as dental carving, paper-cutting, and Guangcai will show their skills on site.

I can see a master craftsman. According to him, he has been engaged in this artistic creation for 40 years. I think the hard work put into it can be described and expressed by the word craftsmanship.

What impressed me was the art of paper-cutting. I saw in a pavilion that portraits of heroes such as Zhong Nanshan during the anti-epidemic period or pictures during the anti-epidemic period were all made into an artistic style of paper-cutting.

It gives me the feeling that this art will be new over time, and then keep pace with the times.

[Explanation] The long-standing Guangdong Provincial Sun Yat-sen Library is also one of the “Guangdong Cultural Tourism Passport” check-in points.

The museum has a long history, rich collections, and is well-known.

There is also Guangzhou Lu Xun Memorial Hall near the library.

Liu Yanxin thinks it is very interesting to visit Yangcheng with a cultural travel passport.

During this period, I took my family to participate in the Guangdong Provincial Cultural Tourism Passport Check-in activity. During this period, I visited nearly ten more famous scenic spots in Guangzhou. During the visit, I also deeply felt the authentic Cantonese culture.

[Explanation] During the Spring Festival in Guangzhou, Liu Yanxin's family not only checked in the scenic spots but also ate a lot of food.

The Beijing Road business district in Guangzhou is a gathering place for traditional and new dessert shops, and shops that open for business during the Spring Festival are even harder to find.

While tasting desserts, Liu Yanxin invited reporters to Nansha, Guangzhou.

The reporter learned that the Nansha Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Innovation Base will introduce a number of Macau specialty food brands, and you will be able to eat Macau food in Nansha soon.

Liu Yanxin, who works in Nansha, said that he used to live in Macau, but now he wants to make a home in Guangzhou.

Their (parents) biggest feeling is that the Cantonese culture in Guangzhou is really tolerant. They can find out when they check in to these places and experience the food. In fact, during the Chinese New Year, many foreigners also responded to the country’s policies and calls to stay. Local New Year in the ear.

Especially when they (parents) are in some scenic spots, they have to sigh when they see some old buildings and Xiguan buildings. The Cantonese culture is indeed profound and has a long history.

I also gradually felt that choosing to work in Guangzhou after graduation was a very good choice.
