Kodak Black was keen to honor the memory of Meadow Pollack, one of the victims of the Parkland massacre in 2018, by launching a scholarship named after him.

Last Sunday, the 23-year-old rapper visited Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. For the third anniversary of the tragedy that claimed the lives of 17 people.

It was on this occasion that he announced the creation of a scholarship of 100,000 dollars to allow students to follow a course on prison reform at Southeastern University Law School.

"Kodak was very touched by the incident and wanted to do something in honor of Meadow Pollack," Bradford Cohen, the artist's lawyer, told People, while adding that the missing teenager was a fan of his client.

Kodak Black keeps its promise

“Meadow Pollack was so beautiful, but the situation is beyond Meadow Pollack.

It's about all of us.

These are the other children.

This is the whole school.

This is Broward County.

I will help and hope the creation of this scholarship will make a difference.

I just want to have a positive impact for this community, ”said the rapper during the ceremony.

Kodak Black is one of the detainees to have been pardoned by Donald Trump in the last moments of his presidential term.

Shortly before the announcement of his release, the singer had promised to give a million dollars to good works in the year if he was released, and the creation of this scholarship proves that he intends to honor his promise.
