SBS'I want to know that' tells the story of two men who were freed to murder after 30 years.

In'I want to know that', which will be broadcast on the 20th,'Innocent!

With the subtitle of Jang Dong-ik and Choi In-cheol-Who made them murderers?', we listen to the story of two men who finally find the truth and Park Joon-young, a lawyer who helped them.

On February 4th, a period was finally stamped in a long fight that seemed to never end.

Jang Dong-ik and Choi In-cheol, who were sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of the Nakdong Riverside in 1990, were freed from the frames of murder through retrial.

Although the murder frame was taken off, the two had already been released after being imprisoned for 21 years.

In November 1991, Choi In-cheol, who volunteered in the Eulsukdo environmental protection zone in Busan, received 30,000 won from a man.

A man who was conducting illegal driving training in an environmental protection zone misunderstood Mr. Choi as a police officer and handed him money to ask for a look.

That day, the 30,000 won Choi suddenly received became an unimaginable fire of tragedy.

The police came to Choi In-cheol, who was leaving work.

Afterwards, Choi was arrested for stealing 30,000 won by impersonating a public official.

And the friend Jang Dong-ik, who was with him at the time, could not avoid the police investigation.

The police, who were investigating the two for impersonating public officials, noted that they were'twins' and recalled the Nakdong Riverside murder that occurred a year ago, in 1990, and left untouched.

In time, Mr. Choi, Mr. Jang, and Mr. Kim, a survivor of the Nakdong Riverside murder case, met each other.

Faced with the two faces, Mr. Kim claimed that they were the culprit, and in no time, Mr. Choi and Mr. Jang became suspects in the murder case.

The case in which only witnesses existed and no direct evidence was found. One thing the police were absolutely necessary to prosecute the two as suspects in the murder case.

It was'confessions'.

Mr. Choi said, "I wrapped toilet paper around my wrist and put it in handcuffs. I poured water mixed with mustard over the face covered with the cloth while the iron pipe was hung upside down between my legs," he said about the torture of the police.

The two men, who could not withstand the ruthless assault and torture of the police, eventually made false confessions, and they became murderers.

It is suspected that this is not the only thing that they have been fabricated from mere public officials to murder suspects.

At the time of the investigation, Choi and Jang say that they were suddenly taken to a police station other than the police station in charge of the case.

However, as soon as a police officer met there, it was said that as soon as they saw the two, they suddenly claimed that they were like people who robbed him two years ago.

At the time, the judges accepted the statement of the policeman as it was, and the two became murderers who committed murder after routine robbery.

The investigation result of this case, where only the policeman's statement was evidence, is not one or two strange.

It turned out that the policeman, the victim and witness, did not remember the details of the incident at all, and did not even report to the police at the time of the robbery incident.

Even in the case of the'Le Mans' passenger car that was claimed to have been in the car at the time of the incident, the vehicle number search result was of a completely different model, and the whereabouts of the woman who had been robbed together could not be found.

Unlike 30 years ago, the retrial judge decided that the police officer's statement in the robbery was unreliable.

It gave strength to the possibility of manipulation of this case.

From the false confession of the murder case through torture and the manipulation of the robbery case, why did the police at that time make the two suspects in the murder case?

The two, who were found not guilty through retrial, said they wanted to ask the police who were in charge of the investigation at the time.

Therefore, the production crew of'I want to know that' met the investigative officials at the time.

Twenty-one years of unfair imprisonment, those years changed the lives of Jang Dong-ik and Choi In-cheol.

The lovely children who didn't get sick even if they put it in their eyes became adults, and the head of the 30s, who was looking forward to a wonderful future, turned 50.

Jang Dong-ik said that he repeated the thought of'Why is it me?'

However, when it was necessary to give the answer, the police on the investigation team avoided the answer, saying, "I can't remember" or "I don't know."

Through the stories of Dong-ik Jang, In-cheol Choi, who were acknowledged innocent in 30 years, and attorney Park Joon-young who helped them, the meaning of the retrial was recalled, and the truth of the Nakdong Riverside murder case, which the two were framed unfairly, and the problems of the police and prosecution investigation at the time. 'I want to know it', which will be re-examined, will be broadcast at 11:10 pm on the 20th.
