The Vieilles Charrues will take place this summer in Carhaix.

Following the announcements of the Minister of Culture, who indicated Thursday that the festivals will be able to be held but with a maximum capacity of 5,000 people seated, the team of the Plows has decided to maintain the 29th edition of the festival.

"We could not bring ourselves to leave the Kerampuilh meadow silent for another year," the organizers said in a statement.

The bamboche will however not have the same flavor as in previous years, when the festival could still accommodate more than 250,000 spectators over four days.

The Vieilles Charrues will be spread over ten evenings from July 8 to 18.

The program for this unique edition will be unveiled in the spring, with the opening of the ticket office.

Discussions underway for the postponement of Celine Dion's concert

Les Vieilles Charrues also reminds us that "tickets purchased for the 2020 edition will not be valid for the ten evenings".

Refund requests for tickets already purchased can be made from February 25 on the festival site.

Given the health situation, there will also be no campsite to accommodate festival-goers this summer.

The Charrues team finally specifies that "discussions are underway for the postponement of the Celine Dion concert".

The Quebec singer announced Wednesday that she was postponing her European tour for another year.

"Determined to see Celine Dion bewitch the Vieilles Charrues, we are actively working to postpone her exceptional concert," assures the festival team.
