Thyme and garlic to boost the immune system in winter

With temperatures close to zero or even negative, winter is a dreaded season for our health because the body is put to the test.

But plants can help you do better.

Among them: thyme.

It "boosts the immune defenses" and makes it possible to better resist the attacks of nasopharyngitis and other gastroenteritis characteristic of these months of the year, summarizes Loïc Ternisien.

A remedy that is prepared as an infusion or as an ointment to apply to the chest.

To invigorate his immune system and take care of his microbiota, the naturopath also recommends eating garlic, foods rich in chlorophyll (green cabbage, broccoli, spinach, green beans, asparagus ...) and seasonal vegetables.

But nature also offers tools to warm up quickly if the mercury drops too low, such as "rosemary or ginger".

Nettle, an essential ally against spring allergies

At the end of winter, the advent of spring can be the beginning of a real hell for millions of French victims of respiratory allergies.

But allergy sufferers have a powerful ally in this fight: nettle.

"It is a very good antihistamine which really allows the immune system to prepare," confirms the microphone of Europe 1 Loïc Ternisien.

A remedy to take before spring, for about four to six weeks, in the form of herbal tea (3 to 4 times a day) or capsules.

As for food, the naturopath also advises to eat eggs… of quail.

Because "studies have shown that they contain a very good antihistamine".

However, if an allergy attack does occur, it is simply enough to "temporarily increase the dose" to help your body.

But "it depends on the symptoms," says the specialist.

Work sap for a detox cure

Although spring does not rhyme with a detox cure, many French people take advantage of this time of year to make one.

Preferring the term "metabolic cleansing", Loïc Ternisien recommends taking birch sap.

A "great" product according to him for stimulating the liver, kidneys, and therefore eliminating "metabolic waste that we could have stored throughout the winter".

Ocean plasma, the little extra against dehydration in summer

After the allergies of spring, make way for the torpor of summer (and tanning sessions for the lucky ones).

But with the heat, the risk of dehydration increases and drinking in sufficient quantity is all the more essential.

Fortunately, Loïc Ternisien has an asset up his sleeve to ward off this danger even further: ocean plasma.

The latter "contains the same minerals as blood plasma" and therefore limits the loss of minerals intrinsic to perspiration.

The plasma is taken in the form of an ampoule to be poured into a bottle of water, water which must be "at room temperature to limit the body's digestive effort".

Autumn, the time of preparation

If fall is also a rough time for the human body, it is just a taste of the dangers of winter.

This is the right time to prepare your body to resist the cold and bacteria.

In addition to thyme, the specialist recommends vitamin D, magnesium or even zinc.

But he specifies that this treatment must be taken after having "done work on his diet" with a naturopath to be sure of being able to assimilate the vitamins and minerals.

"If the gut is leaky, we can take all the supplements on Earth, there's no point."

The "druid mixtures" therefore intervene in a second step.
