Chinanews Client, February 18 (Reporter Wang Jiacheng) Li Zhiying, the founder of Hong Kong One Media Group, was accused of fraud and violated Hong Kong's National Security Law. After being refused bail by the Magistrates' Court earlier, he was granted conditional bail by the High Court.

On February 9, the Court of Final Appeal ruled on the relevant appeal from the Department of Justice. The Department of Justice’s appeal was successful. The original judge’s decision to approve bail must be shelved and Li Zhiying must be remanded in custody.

On the 18th, Li Zhiying applied to the High Court for bail again.

Peng Baoqin, the "National Security Law Designated Judge" in charge of the trial, said that Li Zhiying’s bail in the fraud case is still valid, so he only concentrates on handling bail applications in cases involving violations of Hong Kong’s National Security Law; however, because he cannot fully prove that the defendant will not continue to endanger national security, Therefore, his application for bail was rejected.
