  • Immunization. "In Spain there is no strong anti-vaccine movement"

82.9% of the population is willing to get vaccinated against Covid when their turn comes.

This is reflected in the latest CIS barometer, which shows an

increase of more than 10 points

compared to the general opinion in January, when 72.5% of those surveyed were in favor of receiving immunization.

Confidence in the vaccine has been gaining weight in recent months

and after the implementation of the vaccination campaign in Spain.

Thus, only 6.5% of the population consulted is reluctant to vaccination in this last barometer, carried out between February 3 and 11.

In November, however, this percentage reached 47%, according to the CIS.

The reasons given by those who are not willing to receive the vaccine today are mainly based on two arguments: not trusting these vaccines (31.2%) and fear that they have health risks / side-side effects (18 ,5%).

Regarding the management of the pandemic,

65.4% of those surveyed consider that "more demanding measures should be taken"

in terms of control and isolation of cases.

In the opinion of 65%, those who have to take charge of the fight against the pandemic are the Government of Spain and the regional governments, "both in collaboration."

About a year after the decree of the first state of alarm, 16.7% of those surveyed believe that "the worst is over."

47.3%, on the other hand, point out that "we are still in the worst moment" and 24.5% believe that "the worst is yet to come".

According to the survey carried out in 1,240 municipalities in 50 provinces, 57% of Spaniards are very concerned about the situation.

Right now 46% of those surveyed say they are mainly concerned about the effects that this crisis has on health, although 36% say they are equally concerned about the consequences that the pandemic has on the economy.

57% consider that the majority of Spanish society is reacting "with civility and solidarity" in the way of facing measures against the pandemic.

However, 35.7% consider the opposite, that the majority "is being uncivil and undisciplined."

Of those surveyed, 39% and 27.5% indicate, respectively, that the crisis is affecting "a lot" or "a lot" to their personal life.

Mainly, due to "distancing from loved ones" (38.5%), restrictions on freedom and movement (36.5%), negative mood -anxiety, sadness- (20.8%) or work and the personal economy (20%).

A large majority also point out that the crisis is affecting their social and relationship life (41.8% say "a lot" and another 35.9 say "quite a lot").
