The Gremlins and the cute little Gizmo are well and truly back.
Scheduled for 2021,
Gremlins, Secrets of the Mogwai
, an HBO Max animated series, will once again put them in the limelight, through ten 30-minute episodes, reports the Allocine.com site.
The voice cast for this series has just been announced.
Behind the characters of this prequel series, will be the actress Ming-Na Wen (
The Mandalorian
), Gabrielle Nevaeh Green (
Danger Force
), BD Wong (
Jurassic World
) or James Hong (
Blade Runner
).
Gizmo, the star of the original film, will be played by actor AJ Locascio.
Meet the young Sam Wing
According to the specialized site, the action of this series should be held in the 1920s in Shanghai.
She will reveal the origin of the meeting between Gizmo and Sam Wing, the Chinese antiques dealer played by Keye Luke who we discover in the first film in 1984. Accompanied by his friend Elle, Sam Wing will set off on a journey through China, to meet creatures and spirits of Chinese culture.
For the moment no broadcaster has been announced for France.
