Greece: The Acropolis and The Parthenon covered with a white mantle due to the exceptional snowfall

The cold snap and exceptional snowfall currently hitting Greece killed two on Tuesday and significantly disrupted transport in Athens as well as sea and air links. 

The Parthenon, the famous 5th century BCE site, clinging to the Holy Rock in the historic center of Athens, was barely noticeable on Tuesday in heavy snow showers.
