  • Alexandre Vincendet, LR mayor of Rillieux-la-Pape, lodged a complaint after threats of beheading and emasculation to which he was the subject on social networks.

  • He accuses an association of his municipality of being at the origin of this "spill of hatred".

  • The latter, which denies having orchestrated these threats, intends to file a complaint for "defamation and false accusation" against the mayor of the city.

Alexandre Vincendet, the LR mayor of Rillieux-la-pape (Rhône), has been the subject of threats of beheading and emasculation on social networks.

This is what the elected official said on Monday evening on his Facebook page, specifying that he had lodged a complaint against three people.

Among which the president of the association MSI, Movement for an international solidarity, and two Internet users.

It all started with a disagreement over the distribution of food packages.

The municipality would have proposed to the association in question to collaborate with the Secours populaire, the Food Bank, the Restos du cœur, or even the Secours Catholique in order to facilitate the distribution of food to the citizens.

And avoid "gatherings" of people coming to collect the packages.

The MSI would have refused, according to Alexandre Vincendet.

What the association disputes.

The association dissociates itself from these death threats

However, the distribution operation did not take place and the information, presented on social networks as a "ban" on the part of the municipality, made many Internet users react.

Some of which have called for "cutting the c ..." or "the head" of the mayor.

"At no time did he offer us to carry out the distribution with the Secours Catholique and we presented the various exchange emails last Saturday to the press", answers Abdelaziz Boumediene, the president of the association who dissociates himself from these threats. of death.

“We are absolutely not responsible for the people who share our articles and publications.

We have always condemned all violence and we strongly condemn these insults and threats ”, he added in a statement posted on Facebook, specifying that the comments“ were not written under one of his own content on networks ”.

"No threat is harmless"

Not enough to convince the elected official who believes that "these threats reveal the true nature of the association, which does not hesitate to allow a target to be designated on social networks and to relay the threats".

“No threat is harmless, they can lead to tragedies like our country has already experienced too much.

We cannot claim to be “united” and provoke such an outpouring of hatred, ”he continues.

Abdelaziz Boumediene said, for his part, that he intended to file a complaint for defamation and false accusations against the elected official.

“I have 27 years of activism behind me.

Alexandre Vincendet came to tarnish my image, my dignity.

It is despicable and scandalous to come to this.
