For vaccination of the new coronavirus, Kawasaki City will set up venues for mass vaccination at civic centers in seven wards, and will also carry out mass vaccination at work for people who are working in the future. We are going to make adjustments in the direction.

Last month, Kawasaki City, which has a population of more than 1.5 million, conducted training assuming a venue for mass vaccination, ahead of the rest of the country.

The city announced the basic vaccination policy on the 16th, and according to it, it will set up venues for group vaccinations at the civic centers and educational and cultural centers in the seven wards of the city.

It is assumed that the mass vaccination will start from April 1st for the elderly, and the city will respond 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, including holidays, and inoculate more than 2000 people a day at 7 venues. It is said that it can be done.

In addition, the city has a policy of individual vaccinations at family doctors and mobile vaccinations for facilities for the elderly, and wants to adjust the scale of group vaccinations according to the number of cooperating medical institutions.

In the future, we will also coordinate with companies to implement mass inoculations in the workplace for those who are working.

Mayor Norihiko Fukuda said, "Expectations for vaccination are increasing day by day. We would like to build a system with the cooperation of related organizations."
