Big report takes us today to India.
Farmers have surrounded the capital New Delhi for three months.
They are protesting against a series of laws that liberalize the agricultural sector.
Since January 26, 2021, a national holiday marred by violence, everything has changed.
Paramilitary blockades, digital censorship, accusations of sedition ...
Publicity
The government is now using the hard way against the farmers and considers their gatherings illegal.
But more and more of them are reaching the capital regardless of the obstacles, and the eyes of the world are turning to India.
Along several borders in New Delhi and in Bangalore, we went to meet these protesters and questioned the government to understand why this movement was growing so big.
“In India, the revolt of farmers explodes and repression too, a Grand report by Côme Bastin.
