Chinanews client, Beijing, February 16th (Reporter Ren Siyu) As a representative of China's excellent traditional culture, opera is an indispensable cultural feast on the stage of the Spring Festival Gala every year.

Recently, Wei Daosheng, the director of Chinese opera programs for the Spring Festival Gala, was interviewed and told the story of preparations for opera programs this year.

This year’s Spring Festival Gala, the landscape-style stage design of the three-story theater building in the opera program "Blooming World" is very eye-catching. Peking opera artist Meng Guanglu took the lead in opening his voice. Xu Mengke, Jin Buhuan, Sun Zhen, and Tan Yuan jointly brought "The Ugly Spring" The "Year of the Xin Chou Ox" was the first to applaud, and then the classic Peking Opera, Henan Opera, Yue Opera, Cantonese Opera, Huangmei Opera and other operas took the stage one after another, bringing wonderful performances.

The landscape stage design of this three-story theater building is the first time it appears on the stage of the Spring Festival Gala.

Director Wei Daosheng introduced that this design was inspired by the previous "Shanghai Great World".

"There are all kinds of dramas, all genres, and every level has a kind of performance, the kind of scene that people expect. We think it is the most prosperous and glorious period of our opera."

In order to realize this design, they went to the Changyin Pavilion in the Forbidden City and the Old Summer Palace. They also searched for a large number of theater information on the Internet.

"We invited some actors into our recording studio to perform keying, and then put them on the third floor of the three-story theater building to form such a structure. In fact, the entire second floor is a big prop, and The floor screens of the studio are combined, and the first floor is our normal stage."

In the show, various types of dramas and selections took turns on stage, and famous artists brought rookies to form a "carnival"-style performance of Chinese opera.

Wei Daosheng explained: “This form comes from our own traditional aesthetics. For example, traditional architecture is called step by step, changing scenes step by step. We adopt this kind of aesthetic thinking, so that audiences and theater fans will have a step when they see our landscape. The feeling of a landscape allows the audience on the New Year’s Eve Spring Festival Gala to feel the splendor of opera and the richness of singing."

Since the Spring Festival Gala is a live broadcast, some other methods are needed to realize such a method.

Wei Daosheng introduced that they used ice screens, ground screens, and large background screens to carry video materials. The most important thing was to use large props to achieve the landscape of the three-story theater building.

"We advocate a'single breath' for opera. The so-called one breath is that in addition to listening and watching opera, it is also enjoyable."

When it comes to the choice of opera singing, director Wei Daosheng pays more attention to the show's "vitality".

"When we choose opera singing, opera genre, opera industry, including some local operas and opera genres, in fact, the first choice is spirit."

Wei Daosheng said that there are not only famous and leading figures in the show, but also young and middle-aged actors and a group of children.

"Xiqu has a very strong contemporary character. Many young people think that Xiqu seems to be out of this era. Why are there so many children on the Spring Festival Gala this year? We invite these children to the stage, which means that we have passed down traditional Chinese opera and have successors. "

This year's Spring Festival Gala, the performance of Chinese opera programs lasted about 10 minutes. Wei Daosheng admitted frankly that this year is the longest performance of Chinese opera programs since he participated in the five-year Spring Festival Gala.

"This is also a motivation for opera. It is not easy. Only when our excellent traditional culture can be rooted in the hearts of young people and ordinary people can our culture be confident and able to pass on." (End)
