TEPCO announced that part of the firefighting equipment work had not been completed during the safety measures work for Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station Unit 7, which is aiming to restart.

TEPCO's management system is being questioned due to a series of mistakes, such as the fact that construction work was not completed at the fire extinguishing equipment last month.

At Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant Unit 7 in Niigata Prefecture, TEPCO is proceeding with safety measures with the aim of restarting.

Regarding this, TEPCO announced on the 15th that part of the work to install a fire detector in the passage leading to the equipment for serious accident countermeasures had not been completed.

Regarding the cause, it is said that the information sharing between the construction staff and the design staff was insufficient.

The Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant announced that it had completed safety measures on the 12th of last month, but about two weeks later, it announced that there was a leak in the construction of fire extinguishing equipment that protects the equipment for serious accidents, and the construction was completed. There are a lot of mistakes in the safety measures work, such as withdrawing the announcement.

Furthermore, at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant, a problem was revealed in September last year when an employee illegally entered the central control room using another employee's ID card, and TEPCO warned President Kobayakawa on the 15th. We have announced the disposal of executives and employees involved.

TEPCO will investigate the causes of such fraud and construction mistakes and will put together measures to prevent recurrence by the 10th of next month.
