The Lunar New Year has come. Looking back on 2020, the decisive battle against poverty will be a decisive victory this year.

In this magnificent anti-poverty struggle, the profound changes of one village and one region, the marks of one person and one family's struggle have all become indelible memories of the family and country.

On the occasion of the New Year of 2021, reporters came to Yuangudui Village, Weiyuan County, Dingxi City, Gansu Province, Atulieer Village, Zhaojue County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and Shibadong Village, Huayuan County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province, to look for poverty alleviation New year after the new year.

These once poverty-stricken landmarks, the red lanterns are hung high, the fragrance on the stove is overflowing, and the smiling faces of the villagers are talking about the happiness of getting out of poverty and the hope for the future.

The roads, ladders, and pictures in the poverty alleviation village connect the past and the present, witnessing history and drawing the future.

  One road leads to dreams

On the twenty-fifth lunar month of the lunar calendar, Zeng Yucheng's wife, Chen Jine, cut the three-color dough made of brown sugar, honey, and eggs into half-centimeter-thick triangles, and carefully put them into a frying pan with bubbles.

One pig and three chickens helped the cadres to send red lanterns. The daughter bought Chinese New Year couplets from the Internet, fried the pot of oil, and then went to the market town to purchase some seasonal fruits. This year’s 46-year-old poverty-stricken household Zeng Yucheng’s family’s new year goods It's all set.

And the most lucrative "New Year" is the harvest last year.

The reporter saw in Zeng Yucheng's house that the bundled angelica, astragalus and dangshen were piled up for half of the courtyard.

I was reluctant to sell it and wanted to wait until the price was high.

What if no one takes it?

Old Zeng waved his hand, "Now the hardening road is at the door of the house, and the merchants will come to the door in the car!"

In the past few years, the old man dare not be so confident.

In 2007, a vendor came to Lao Zeng's house and offered to buy the piles of medicinal materials in the courtyard for 8,000 yuan.

Lao Zeng was unconvinced at that time: How can the quality and quality exceed 10,000 yuan, how can you make 8,000 yuan?

However, the frequent rain and snow that year turned the dirt road into the village into a muddy road, and no one cares about the medicine at home.

The family was time-consuming and laborious to cut and process, and shipped out a little bit, only to barely sell for less than 8,000 yuan.

The Yuangudui village where Lao Zeng's family is located belongs to Dingxi City, Gansu Province, known as the "Bitter Jiadi".

Before 2013, Yuangudui Village was a well-known "sludge ditch", and the villagers' dreams of getting rich were repeatedly entangled by the mud road.

Foreign merchants once saw the cold and humid mountains in the Yuan Gudui Village and wanted to try planting lilies.

During the demonstration, the harvest was excellent, with more than 7,000 catties dug on 2 mu of land.

The lily must be pulled away on the day it was dug out, but on rainy days, the roads became mud nests. They could only rely on agricultural vehicles and planks to move out of the village little by little. After a day of tossing, there was still a lot left.

The boss is scared, no matter how high the harvest is, he dare not plant it again.

Since the fight against poverty began, 114 million yuan has been invested in infrastructure in Yuan Gudui Village.

Guo Lianbing, director of the village committee, said that before 2013, the village had only 2.4 kilometers of hardened roads.

Today, Tongshe Road, roadway, and entrance road are all hardened.

The road is good, and the development of the industry has the confidence.

Yuangudui Village identified lilies, Chinese medicinal materials and potato seed potatoes as key varieties for planting. With the support of policies such as microfinance and agricultural insurance, the planting area has been expanded to 4,500 mu, which is more than 70% of the entire village's arable land.

The courage of the old man who had devoted himself to the industry became more and more "fat". He transferred the land to plant 40 acres of lily, 5 acres of Codonopsis, 8 acres of angelica, and 6 acres of astragalus. He became one of the largest planters in the village.

There are now more family cars in the village. Guo Lianbing said that more than 40 new cars were added last year.

In June last year, the old Zeng family also welcomed a private car worth nearly 100,000 yuan from Lanzhou.

Old Zeng said that the situation in the village is getting better and better, and everyone is going to drive a small car to a well-off society and take the road of rural revitalization.

  A ladder carrying hope

Early in the morning, a certain saladbo who got up in the morning took a deep breath of the clear forest air, picked up the phone and took a few pictures of the scenery and posted a circle of friends, which immediately attracted praise from friends from all over the world.

This year's Spring Festival, a certain Serabo will be on duty in the "Valley of the Sky" camp in the Gurilada Canyon.

Below the camp is the famous "cliff village"-Atulier Village, Zhaojue County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, where a certain Serabo grew up.

In the past, 17 rattan ladders set on the cliff were the only way for people to enter and leave the village.

A certain Serabo still remembered that his sister-in-law had heavy bleeding during dystocia, and the dark cliffs and crumbling vine ladders blocked the way to the doctor.

The next morning, he hurried back down the mountain. Before reaching the foot of the mountain, people died.

When he was 16 years old, a certain Serabo went to work outside.

In 2013, the older brother divided his family. According to the custom, he had to go home to take care of his frail parents.

Also in this year, targeted poverty alleviation work was launched in Liangshan Prefecture.

Poverty alleviation cadres sent from the prefecture and county levels came to the village, and a certain Serabo family was determined to be a registered poor household.

In August 2016, the village began to build steel ladders.

Eight months later, the 2,556-level steel ladder that consumed a total of 6,000 steel pipes was completed.

Communication base stations were erected in the village, and power grids and optical cables were laid.

The villagers carried the refrigerator and washing machine back home along the steel ladder.

A certain Serabo used his mobile phone to make a live broadcast. He was as light as a swallow on the steel ladder, and he went from the top to the foot of the mountain in just 15 minutes at the fastest time.

The thrilling action and the amazing scenery quickly gained him more than 100,000 fans, and he also got a new name-"The Flying Man on the Cliff".

"Cliff Village" was on fire. The government established a tourism company and built a "Valley of the Sky" camp. An agile Serabo was absorbed into the company and worked as a tour guide and camp manager, earning nearly 4,000 yuan a month.

Saying goodbye to the flock of sheep and the mountain on the hill, the world of a certain salad has become wider-to participate in hotel management training in Dali, to run a marathon in Xichang, to participate in an indoor kayak race in Shenzhen... His WeChat has added thousands of friends , He became generous and talkative when he was not good at words.

In May 2020, he moved with his family into a new home in a relocation site.

But a certain Sarabo said that his career is still in the "cliff village."

Since the steel "ladder" was built, tourists have come here in an endless stream.

During the Spring Festival, there are also many people who want to experience the "Ladder".

There are also homestays run by villagers in the village, and many “left-behind youths” look forward to making money from tourism in the future.

"In June this year, the road from the foot of the mountain to the camp was repaired. I want to take more people to see the'cliff village'." Said a Serabo.

  A picture depicts the vision

During the Spring Festival, in Shibadong Village, Huayuan County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province, in the deep mountains, red lanterns were hung at the door of every household, and the fire ponds of Miao villagers were smoked with bacon.

Walking in the Shibadong Village, a tourist guide map comes into view.

The village has developed rural tourism over the years, and the villagers have become rich.

Last year, there were 410,000 tourists from Shibadong Village.

In 2013, the per capita net income of Shibadong Village was only 1,668 yuan, and by 2020 it has increased to 18,369 yuan.

Recently, 43-year-old villager Yang Zhengbang and his wife have been busy.

They smoked more than 1,000 catties of bacon. In addition to eating at home and cooking for tourists, they can also sell it online.

"Last year, my own farmhouse used 800 kilograms of bacon alone, and the net income in a year exceeded 80,000 yuan." Yang Zhengbang said.

Before 2013, Yang Zhengbang and his wife had been working in Liaoning, Zhejiang and other places.

In 2013, “precise poverty alleviation” was first proposed in Shibadong Village.

Under the blueprint of targeted poverty alleviation, Yang Zhengbang and his wife saw unprecedented hope.

At the age of 35, he decided to return home.

In recent years, there have been more and more tourists visiting the village. Yang Zhengbang’s farmhouse business has become more prosperous, and he has expanded the homestay. "In the new year, with the joint efforts of all of us, I believe that Shibadong Village will grow more and more. Great."

Another picture is also being slowly spread out in Shibadong Village.

In July 2018, Hunan Province took the lead in establishing a village planner system in Shibadong Village, introduced a planning and design team from Hunan University, compiled and implemented "multiple planning in one" practical village planning with precise concepts, and established "precise poverty alleviation" The target positioning of “the pioneer land, the traditional village protection area, the rural tourism destination, and the rural revitalization demonstration site”.

The rural revitalization of Shibadong Village has gradually emerged with a clear picture.

These days, Ma Huihuang, the leader of the work team in the village, is also busy planning with the villagers a "road map" that effectively links poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.

He said: “Shibadong Village wants to go better on the road of rural revitalization, and now it has to do one thing after another, year after year.” (Participating reporters Zhang Yujie and Ma Xiping)
