Another South Korean religious group investigated behind a coronavirus outbreak

South Korean police have searched the headquarters of a missionary organization for being behind a

coronavirus

outbreak

, in what is a new case in the Asian country in which a Christian group is accused of violating the health emergency law.

Authorities stormed the International Mission (IM) headquarters in the city of Daejeon (about 165 kilometers south of Seoul), Yonhap news agency reported.

The agents took computers, hard drives and documentation that may contain evidence that the group violated the health emergency law and caused an outbreak that has already affected more than 400 people in different cities.

A two-month-old baby dies from coronavirus in Venezuela

A two-month-old baby and five other people have died in the last 24 hours from the

coronavirus

in Venezuela, bringing the number of deaths as a result of this virus to 1,279 since the

pandemic

began

in the Caribbean country, it reported the executive vice president, Delcy Rodríguez.

"In the last hours, 6 Venezuelans lost the battle against

Covid-19

," Rodríguez said on Twitter, where he also detailed the ages of the other deceased people, including four men of 47, 62, 70 and 80 years old, and one 47-year-old woman.

However, the vice president did not explain how the baby was infected or the rest of the people.

He also said that in the last 24 hours, the Venezuelan health authorities registered "a total of 475 new infections in the country," four of which are from people from Panama and Turkey.
