"During the Spring Festival, we will protect your safety." On February 11, the 30th morning of the Lunar New Year, policeman Zhang Dongfang and his colleague Ma Hui, who were patrolling the Yao Temple scenic spot in Linfen, Shanxi, acted as guest anchors to participate in the public security police connection of the 11 cities in Shanxi "Cloud Happy New Year" event.

Zhang Dongfang is a "post-90s". After graduating from university in 2017, he became a policeman at the Yaomiao Police Station, a branch directly under the Linfen Public Security Bureau.

"Talk about our Linfen specialty products, including Jixian apples, Yicheng casserole, Xixian golden pears, and Yonghe red dates. Famous places of interest include Xiangfending Village site, Jixian Hukou Waterfall, and Hongdong Guangsheng Temple." During the live broadcast, except for the introduction. In addition to the security work during the Spring Festival, Zhang Dongfang and his colleagues treasured Linfen's specialty products and historical sites.

Listening to the accent, Zhang Dongfang is already a native of Linfen.

In fact, his hometown is Zhoukou, Henan. When he was young, he lived with his parents in Linfen, and he would return to his hometown for the New Year every year.

"The more holidays we have, the more we must stick to our posts." After becoming a policeman, Zhang Dongfang did not go back to Zhoukou with his parents to celebrate the New Year. Now it is his fourth in-situ Chinese New Year in Linfen.

At 8 o'clock in the morning on New Year's Eve, Zhang Dongfang started a day's patrol work. He was on duty and out of police the night before. He didn't rest until 1 am.

Zhang Dongfang and his colleagues came to the Yao Temple scenic spot. Before the live broadcast, they took the time to conduct inspections, investigate potential safety hazards, communicate with the scenic staff, and urge safety precautions during the Spring Festival.

During the live broadcast, Zhang Dongfang spent a short time introducing the work done by himself and his colleagues, and spent most of his time introducing Linfen's history, culture, historical sites and special products.

"For the Chinese New Year, I want netizens to feel happy." Zhang Dongfang, who sticks to his post during the Spring Festival and has been busy, still wants to bring happiness to others.

After lunch, Zhang Dongfang drove a police car and patrolled the main roads in the Yaomiao police station area with his colleagues.

This was Zhang Dongfang's first live broadcast. He admitted that he was both excited and a little nervous.

On weekdays, they are busy with work, and the people in the district are the people in the district.

Zhang Dongfang said: "I hope to tell you through live broadcast that during the Spring Festival, the people's police will stick to their posts. We will work hard and serve enthusiastically, letting everyone know that the police are around and the warmth is around."

It was noon after the live broadcast. Zhang Dongfang returned to the Yaomiao police station and met colleagues who were posting the Spring Festival couplets. He stepped forward to help and posted the Spring Festival couplets.

On the 29th of the twelfth lunar month, Zhang Dongfang, who was on duty that day, had cleaned up with his colleagues at the police station.

However, he did not post the Spring Festival couplets in Zhang Dongfang's home, nor did he participate in the cleaning.

After lunch, Zhang Dongfang drove a police car and patrolled the main roads in the Yaomiao police station area with his colleagues. There were fewer vehicles on the roads than usual, and it was quiet and peaceful.

Zhang Dongfang told reporters that he has long been accustomed to receiving police cases, mediating conflicts, patrolling, and dispatching police.

The Yao Temple Zhengyue Temple Fair in the area under the jurisdiction of the Yao Temple Police Station is the largest temple fair in Linfen City. The highest number of visitors to the previous temple fairs in previous years reached 100,000.

Zhang Dongfang recalled that from the first day of the new year to the 20th day of the new year, all the colleagues in the police station were on duty to carry out security work for the temple fair from morning to night.

Zhang Dongfang came to a large shopping mall in his jurisdiction.

Most people prepare for the New Year at home, and there are not many customers in the mall.

Zhang Dongfang and his colleagues patrolled and asked the mall security staff about the Spring Festival duty schedule.

During the Spring Festival last year, Zhang Dongfang and his colleagues were even busier. Together with health workers, they carried out epidemic prevention and control in their jurisdiction. "There are almost no people outside, and we are still on the road."

This year's Spring Festival, Zhang Dongfang's parents changed their habits for decades, instead of returning to Zhoukou's hometown, they stayed in Linfen and helped him take care of his six-month-old baby.

In the turmoil at work, Zhang Dongfang has a tireless temperament. Behind him, there are countless "rudish cattle, pioneer cattle, and old scalpers".

Like Zhang Dongfang, during the Spring Festival, Linfen has nearly 5,000 policemen and auxiliary policemen engaged in public security patrols.

Across the country, millions of people's police are still guarding their posts in turn to guard the reunion of thousands of families.

Zhang Dongfang said that after working for more than three years, he has almost traveled all over the streets and alleys in his jurisdiction.

He is used to guarding.
