An Egyptian employee responsible for naming the city's streets gave names from her husband's relatives.

Refaat pointed out that the issue began when it was agreed to propose names for some streets that do not have names in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Planning and Administrative Follow-up, as part of the process of structuring addresses, and a concerned committee was formed, and it was also agreed to set criteria for naming these streets, which is to be called by an older name. He added that the committee has already completed its work in proposing street names and when reviewing the names the matter was noted, and after the end of the legal committee’s work, these names will be referred to Major General Abdul Hamid al-Hagan, Governor of Qalyubia, for final permits.
