Ten years before the Great East Japan Earthquake struck next month, a high school student in Nagano wrote a message to the disaster area in calligraphy.

Every year, a citizen group in Nagano City sends a letter of support to Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture, and on the 12th, a calligraphy member of Nagano Nishi High School wrote a message.

The members wrote the word "Shin" with a powerful brush, reflecting the history of the disaster area and the victims and their thoughts on future reconstruction.

In order not to let the earthquake weather, he said, "We have not forgotten ten years after the great earthquake."

A female member of the second grade said, "I put in a figure that stretches the Shinnyo of" Susumu "long and powerfully and moves toward the future. I want everyone in the disaster area to continue moving forward."

This message, along with other messages, will be exhibited at "Nagano Tokyu Department Store Annex Shelche" in Nagano City from the 25th of this month to the 3rd of next month, and then sent to Rikuzentakata City.
